Our mission is to be our nation's number one source for comprehensive and balanced reporting of campaign finances. We are not a "contributor gossip" site providing titillating views of who gave what to whom, but rather our goal is to show the major financial influences that are shaping our political landscape. With each new campaign finance reform regulation, it seems that the system becomes increasingly opaque and difficult to comprehend. Our goal is to help restore transparency to the financing of federal elections. This project has evolved out of decades of experience and research on modelling and visualizing complex information networks. Although this site is largely dedicated to the narrow issue of campaign financing, our tools can also be used for many other types of financial and dynamic networks with evolving topologies.
